May I tell you about my Journey?
I was born into a family of teachers, beginning with my great-great grandmother. Education was honored in my farming family, and all the women were teachers. My earliest memories were of playing school and that learning was an adventure. Not surprisingly I became a teacher, graduating from Peabody College of Education with a double degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. I taught in a variety of situations from Pre-School through post-secondary vocational training programs. I created curriculum and programs for each level. I worked with a wide range of student and abilities. I soon discovered that it was the experiential teaching, or hands on, and having fun with the learning process that inspired me most of all.
As my journey continued, my focus turned to self healing work. I studied in the Healing Touch program, certified by the Holistic Nurses Association, and began my path in 12-step work. I continued with Energy healing work, establishing the Nashville School of Healing Arts. My adventures lead me next to New Jersey, where I studied with Jason Schulman and the work of the Kabbalah. I also taught at The Ranch, a recovery program in Tennessee, where I began a mentorship in the Toltec teachings of Don Miguel Ruzi.
Since then ,I have returned to Maine to teach and to participate in our community.
I enjoy sitting with the intensity of chaos while change emerges and growth brings about a new order.
I am excited by the journey into the unknown to create a healing for a long endured pain.
I am inspired by the courage of others as they embark on their personal journey.
If this feels more like an invitation than a resume, you may be right. I invite the curious, the skeptics and the adventurous to come and walk and healing path.
May you have peaceful day
