Today our lives are filled with information, "To Do" lists and constant demands. All this adds up to stress. Stress is considered to be a major contributing cause of many diseases. We hear this information, and hear what to do about it, yet, how can we de-stress our lives when there is not time? This can be belief that prevents us from taking the action needed to better our life.

I would like to offer the idea that meditation is a wonderful place to begin. Meditation allows us to just be. Another thought is that "I cannot just sit there... my mind is too busy, I have to move around, or how can I just be, there is too much to do." A practice of meditation can bring change on many levels, in body, mind and spirit. It can bring a state of peace, and joy into our stressful lives. There are many styles of meditation that can facilitate stress release, and address health issues. We may even begin to feel we have more time.

In my experience, the practice of meditation is the exercise of a healthy mind. It is the experience of connection, and meditation is the setting of intention. To experience this for yourself, join us for a beginner's meditation sequence that will explore a variety of meditation styles.
