Chelsea is a graduate of Southern Maine Community College with an Associate of Science degree in Dietetic Technology. Since 2006, Chelsea has initiated many nutrition programs in a variety of settings such as clinical, community, and educational. Chelsea has completed over 300 hours of dietetic internships in various facilities, of which include the Gorham House and Maine Medical Center. She has conducted toddler nutrition education at Spring Point Children's Center, and nutrition services for Scarborough school systems.
Chelsea's education is ongoing as she continues her studies toward an M.B.A. in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health, which is accredited by the National Association of Nutrition Professionals and the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants. She is currently conducting a year-long internship at Touchstone Bodyworks as a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner in accordance with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
Chelsea’s combination of both clinical and holistic nutrition allows her to appreciate the full spectrum of nourishment. “I truly believe in the healing power of nutrition. It wasn’t until I became educated in holistic nutrition that my eyes were fully opened to how much prevention we are all capable of. If we are willing to accept and utilize the tools that nature has given us, we will all be on a path toward achieving optimum wellness.”
Chelsea recently moved back to Maine after living in Toronto, Ontario for fourteen months where she worked as a personal fitness trainer and health coach. Chelsea earned her Level I Reiki certification in Toronto and aspires to become a Reiki Master.
Currently, Chelsea conducts Touchstone Bodyworks’ nutrition and weight loss support group, “Overcoming Inertia”, every second and fourth Monday of the month from 7:00-8:00 PM. All are welcome, as it is free to the public. Chelsea is also performing one-on-one consultations at Touchstone Bodyworks upon appointment and welcomes all to a complimentary initial consultation.
